Prior to establishing BVB Consulting, Bridgit Van Belleghem, AICP was a Planner at the Marin County (California) Community Development Agency. Her work on the Game of Floods, a sea level rise adaptation educational game, recently garnered Bridgit five awards, including a National American Planning Association Award of Excellence for Public Outreach. Before becoming on expert of sea level rise vulnerability and adaptation, Bridgit was a Senior Community Planner at the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission (Madison, Wisconsin) with major accomplishments in intergovernmental land use planning, public-private collaboration, public participation, and conference and event planning. She received a Wisconsin American Planning Association Award for her work with the City of Stoughton and Towns of Dunn, Rutland, Pleasant Springs, and Dunkirk, WI. Bridgit earned her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology and Management at the University of California Davis, and her Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also earned certificates in facilitation, racial equity, and planning.
